Just another midlifer building models again
Posted by Tickmagnet on Monday, July 23, 2018 8:57 AM

Hey all just want to say hello. I am yet another person that has returned to model building after a 30 plus year hiatus. I seem to see a lot of others out there like me. Been enjoying relearning old tricks and learning new ones. I am currently just focusing on military aircraft as I start back into this great hobby.

Welcome TickMagnet.

  Would this mean a walk-in-the-woods is a challenging activity?  You will need some magnifying glasses for modeling work but something tells me you probably have a pair...

All kidding aside, the Aircraft, Civil Aircraft and Helicopter forms are huge.  You'll find plenty to keep you interested and on the right track.

Hi;

 Isn't it funny ? Uncle kept me away for almost twenty and sure enough , when I got home , the first hobby related thing was acquiring all new tools and building the " Minot's Light " Sailing ketch .

 Welcome back to the community .

Welcome to the Forums and welcome back to the hobby.

You've come to the right place. You'll get all the help you need plus some extra along the way.

Good luck and enjoy.

Tickmagnet
Been enjoying relearning old tricks and learning new ones.

The best trick of all, Is getting out of a Hobby Store .... Without buying ANYTHING AT ALL !

( Yea... I can never get that trick to work for me either... Plus they alway's look at me funny , as I run up and down the isle's shouting , AABRA  CADABRA !!! )

Welcome to FSM.

 Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
