Welcome to the forums, Mortarman!  I look forward to seeing your builds.

And regarding the airbrush, I can sympathize.  I started using one, after thinking about it for years.  I still have a way to go, but I can tell you, you can really improve your game with it.  The key is to practice, practice, practice!  Also, don't be afraid to spend money on a good brush.  The money is well-spent, if you get a quality tool that lasts a long time and gives you good service.

Best regards,

Brad

Hi, I am looking for some info on a wood model. It's the fireboat. Designed for radio control - electric power. Made by Midwest Products Co. If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it. How old ? Maybe what it's worth if anything? Thank you

Howdy !

Mortarman54
don't paint my models with only a paint brush, instead I now use two different airbrushes, which are a complete challenge for me to use.

I just started using an Airbrush myself ( Been using "Rattle Can's" for 45 year's ) And it's defenetly got a "Learning Curve " to it. I find my Airbrush skill's to be a bit "Heavy Handed".

It is my first time that I have ever been in a forum

Oh ... So you probably haven't been told yet.... The "New Guy" buy's the first round ...... of "PLastistruct" ( It's for scratchbuilding stuff.) It's ok, you didnt know.... We'll let it slide ... This time...     L O L

Welcome to FSM .

Hello everyone, I am a returning modeler.

I have been out of the hobby for more than 20 years, and only just started about 4 months ago, so it has been very interesting trying build models these days because the hobby has changed so much that I have to go to YouTube and watch videos showing how models are built these days. I don't paint my models with only a paint brush, instead I now use two different airbrushes, which are a complete challenge for me to use. I have a really major question to ask the community about mixing the paint with two different paints, so I will go to the Painting forum and ask the folks there about my issue.  It is my first time that I have ever been in a forum, so I hope that being here will help me out with improving my building skills, oh and my favorite type of models are aircraft. I like the 72nd, 48tth, and 32nd scale versions.
