Start with Gold medal Models. They make both a Basic and a Plus set for each of those ships.

Looking at the Hood sets, the two together are about eight sheets of brass!

Having used lots of different brass sets, I find GMM as good if not better than any other sources.

The other trick part currently in favor are wood decks. Do a search, you'll see what's available. I'd probably think about the Hood, Missouri's were stained blue.

Sad to see but kids are rarely building models anymore and the community has shrunk.

Yea, kid's these days cant seem to get away from their I-pad's , X-box's, or those darn "Rock-em Sock-em Robot's !   L O L

Sorry, I cant help you with the "Aftermarket" stuff..... I usually just scratchbuild thing's myself....... and then wish I had bought the "Aftermarket " stuff.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Hello, my how times have changed.

Hello, old member here, as in it has been about 10 years since I've been on and recently started building again.  My times have changed!  The availability of models, parts, PE parts have narrowed.  Even my old hobby store hardly carries any models.  Many of my old sources have gone under, etc.  Sad to see but kids are rarely building models anymore and the community has shrunk.    I'm getting ready to build the HMS Hood and The Missouri and I'm looking for a good source for PE parts for them.  I'm working on a 1/32 of the Fairey Swordfish and could not find any PE sources for that scale. The Trumpeteer kit came with a PE set but it was woefully lacking.  Does anyone have some links for PE parts for them?  The ships are 1/350 scale.   Thanks and glad to be building again!   Cy
