Hello all,As a teenager/kid I built a few aircraft and tank models. Lately having read several books about WWII aviation I got the idea to re enter the hobby. Got a Tamiya Me-262 1/48 I am making a pigs breakfast of as we speak...But it's okay, I already learned several lessons for the next one, not the leasy by lurking aroound this forum for the last week or two. In general my current plan, limited by skill, funds and kit/material availability (I do not live in the USA/Europe) is centered around the WWII Luftwaffe super cutting edge stuff. After the Me-262 I plan on getting the He-162, then move on to others (Komet, Blitz, Etc). I chose 1/48 because I remember as a kid how tiny 1/72 kits were for my clumsy paws. Happy to have this forum to learn from and see great work and intresting ideas. Amit.

I will post the end result, my wip is surely not much to look at. I am inexperienced but my feeling is an experienced builder could quickly and easily make it into a masterpiece (possibly only some aftermarket stuff for the cockpit, but frankly for me even this cockpit was hard)

I didn't know you have a WIP on it. I will try to find it. And there is no judging here. I appreciate every skill level. It's all about the journey. I will see if I can find your build.

Don't beat yourself up.... even us "experienced" guy's can turn an easy kit , into a DISASTER !
There's no way, you could do worse. than this mess !
( There , ... I set the bar so low, that you will have no problem posting your W.I.P. build's here. )
Welcome to FSM.
Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
It's just not much to look at or learn from right now. Maybe next build. Currently primer is on the body and the cockpit is done(may God help me with that pigs breakfast). Still alot to do.
And I am in fact not from India, but from Israel. Amit is a common name here as well.
As you insist. It's shaping up...OK? Going to have to use putty on the nose as I managed to create a small (1mm?) gap there.
Tojo72Welcome aboard, that Tamiya 262 is one of those fall together kits.
You underestimate my clumsiness.
I am sure it will be fine for q first try though. Can't learn without making mistakes.
You've got the right attitude. It look's like you are coming along OK. Keep up the good work and enjoy the hobby.
