You need to stop "Scratchbuilding"  little human's . ( Their interrupting your modeling time.)

Welcome back again, Steve! Canton, Ohio - been there a few times for work. Home of the Pro Football Hall Of Fame, if I remember correctly. Also home of lake-effect snow storms!

Good Luck on your modeling endeavors!

Hi Steve! Welcome back to the hobby and welcome to the Forums.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your work.

I've been building for 72 of my 78 years and build whatever strikes my fancy and my wallet says OK. My favs are WWI and WWII planes followed by sailing ships as you can see by my avatar.

If you have any probles/questions just ask, that's what we're here for.

Back, yet again....

Hey everyone I'm back to the hobby and the forums yet again....

I've been an on and off again model builder for years, actually more than two decades now.

About 7 years ago I started getting back into my passion for scale model building. My wife and I moved into a nice townhouse and I had a whole room available to me for my artwork projects and models including a nice well organized work station. Then we got pregnant and that room was wuickly transformed into a nursery. A few years passed, we purchased our first house and ta-da I had a finished basement with plenty of room to build again. I set the table back up, re-organized my supplies and got back to it. Then yet again life tossed me a curve ball and my work schedule cut off my building time. I started back into a few projects and BAM we got a beautiful surprise in the form of an unplanned pregnancy resulting in our second daughter.

Well now ice been promoted to a management position at work and I have some spare time on my hands and I decided to get back into the hobby.

I used to work on a lot of 1/72 scale WW2 aircraft and the occasional 1/48 scale aircraft but my favorite builds have always been 1/25 autos.

Current projects I want to get done include a 1/72 scale F 18E super hornet which I plan to build to replicate my cousins first jet he flew for the Navy. Next kit, a 1/25 scale pickup truck which I'm doing a lot of scratch building and kit bashing on to turn into a daily driver civilian zombie apocalypse response vehicle. I've got a good bit of work done on that one. Lastly is a 1/25 scale pickup I'm turning into a replica of one of my companys work trucks. We're a traffic control company which sets up and maintains work zones. So there's some scratch building involved in making the gear and supplies that'll be in the truck bed.

On a general note, I'm 31 years old, live in Northeastern Ohio, I'm happily married to my middle school sweetheart, and have a 5 year old and a 6 month old at home. In my spare time besides building models I sketch, draw, paint, and whittle. I'm also a drummer, bass angler, and race fan. I also have an obsession with collecting old glass and porcelain power telephone and telegraph insulators.

I'm happy to be back and intend to put the resources here to good use! :)
