...I am working on the Airfix 1/24th Scale Mosquito. Build is going well. I am working on the Merlins right now, But there are two parts on the G sprue that i can not find where they go. Parts  G-18,G-27. Please lead me to the page that show them in Assembling The engines,  or tell me they are extra and not needed...

Wedge, you might want to post that separately in the Aircraft forum, for better visibility and a faster response.

Best regards,

Brad

Welcome!!!  I think it is great that you have an interest in WWII.  My main interest is 1/48 scale aircraft of that era (with a lot of 1/72 WWI a/c, and various scale ships, and some post-war jets, and ........) and a stash that I plan to complete before my 467th birthday!

Almost everything you need to know you will find here in the forums! Good folks here.

Howdy !

SummonAkira
over the past two months i've become passionate and really thrown myself into it.

Being passionate is great ..... but "throwing yourself"  into it, may break a few part's .

( you may need to buy more glue...)

Hi Devin! Welcome Sign to the forum!

If I may ask, what draws you to this hobby? Is it the very well made models on display at your local hobby store? I remember many years ago when I was still a kid, I could stand at the store’s display of completed models studying the various details with much admiration.

Or perhaps just a passion to work with miniatures? Or something else?

Don’t mind my curiosity. Where I’m at, this hobby is just about as vibrant as a dead horse amongst the younger generations Big Smile

Hello fellow modelers!

For the past two months I have been and continue to be completely obsessed with this hobby--Second World War aircraft in particular. I think I may have made a model or two when I was very young, outside of that I have very little experience. However over the past two months i've become passionate and really thrown myself into it.

I met a fellow modeler who was older and quite experienced. He said that seeing someone as engaged in scale modeling at my age (29) was astonishing. He and his friends consider me something of a unicorn, haha.

I am really desperate for a community to share my thoughts and in turn recieve advice.

I look forward to engaging with this community!

Devin
