Welcome to the Forums Shane! Glad to have you with us.

The members here are very knowledgeable and ready to help out with ANY questions/problems that you might have. Sometimes it takes a while for a specific answer to show up as there are time zones, work schedules, and last but not least the "Honey DO" list that most of us have.  Basically, any or all the members will help you. They also supply "constructive criticism" if you ask for it. Post a work in progress (WIP) pic as you go and the help will come (if you need itWink).

Don't know about the photos. Members post links to youtube videos all the time. Haven't seen any problems pop up with that.

Enjoy.

It depends. The best policy is that if you chose to do so and the source is contemporary; ask. If it's something that you see online, at least credit it when you post it.

There's a fair amount of mockery surrounding responding to old posts, which is unfortunate but common. If you do it on accident, there's no reason not to have a laugh about it. If you truly intend to respond to an ancient post, make your response useful by paraphasing why you chose to do so. Like "I know this is a zombie thread, but the information in it was recently useful to me and I wanted to share with the rest of you".

Mentor, well collectively this whole group is everything you need. It sure works for me!

Welcome aboard. I have designed buildings in Hailey, Ketchum and Stanley. Beautiful area.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Welcome aboard. I am not really sure on your first question, but as far as bringing back an old thread, it often depends on the subject. If your answering a question that was asked 10 years ago, you migth be wasting your time. And i am not sure i would go looking for A mentor. But rather simply lok at different builds and you can pick up tips and ideas from different people and you will pick up on who builds in a style that you feel is close to your own.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Welcome to the Forums!

Unfortunately, I have no definitive answers to your questions; perhaps others will.

I have been wanting to return to modeling for some time now. I have been an avid spectator meaning that I have enjoyed modeling books and magizines, youtube video how to's, the FSM forum and others. I wish to be part of this community.

I have questions as a new comer. Can I post a photo from the internet without permission from owner? If I comment on an older formum, do people respond? If I need coaching, how do I find a mentor? Let the learning and fun begin.

your shipmate,

Ziggy
