Hi everyone.

As an adult, I've been building models since about 2007 or '08. Fairly new to the hobby.

I'm in southeastern PA.

I build pretty much anything but I gravitate towards a lot of sci-fi subjects, followed by automotive, then aero and some water craft.

Most of my kits come from scouring flea markets, yard sales and thrift stores. But I do buy 2-4 new or vintage kits per year. Those are the kits that cost more than my usually $5 spending limit. lol

I decided to join after lurking the forums for information and checking out others builds. I love looking at what others put together. Great inspiration and motivation!

Welcome to the forum, Aaron! I look forward to seeing your builds.

Where are you in SE PA? I'm in Bethlehem, and there are 2 clubs which might interest you, depending on where you are.

One is the Delaware Valley Scale Modelers, meeting on the first Friday of every month, at Artisans Hall on Roosevelt Blvd in NE Philly.

The other is the Lehigh Valley Scale Modelers, who meet every other Wednesday at the AC Moore on Airport Rd in Allentown.

DVSM has a Facebook page, and LVSM has a Facebook group, which is more interactive (posts to a page have to be approved by an admin, but a group allows you to join, and then post at will).

I belong to both clubs, and they're both worth visiting.

I'm in SE PA. also. Just a stones throw from the Morgantown exit of the Pa. Turnpike.

I've been building models for 72 of my 78 years. My favorites are WWI & WWII planes followed by sailing ships, as you can tell from my Avatar. I build whatever strikes my fancy at the time, and my wallet says OK Wink .
