Hey guys/ladies, I'm Michael, and I want to build models.
It's been so long since I last built a kit I might as well say I'm new. I was a teen the last time, and I'm 40 plus now... even then I only built a few back in the day so it's not like I was real good at it. But I've recently been thinking about getting back into this so here I am.
I'm gonna go out this week and try to buy some basic tools, kit, and some paint see how it goes. I mean I have NOTHING at the moment so I'll probably try to get buy with a spray can primer and a couple of jars of paint.
Anyone of y'all in or around Nashville, middle Tennessee? I just think it's be cool to know someone close by.
Welcome to the Forums Michael! Glad to have you aboard.
Welcome back to the hobby. Sorry that you contracted modelitis. We've all got it and there is no cure except building models. It goes away for a while but then it comes back with a vengence. You are now a member in good standing of Plasticaholics Anonymous.
If you have any questions/problems, just ask. That's what we're here for. The members here are very knowledgeable and ready to help out any time.
Enjoy.

Welcome to the forum. What do you like to build? I've had great success with Tamiya rattle cans for glossy finish stuff - cars and bikes. And I have several air brushes.
Thanks,
John
Thanks everyone... I've knocked out a simple level 1 with some help from my son. Now I'll try a level Revell level 4 2016 Corvette Stingray. See how it goes.

My local non chain toy/hobby shop has Tamiya jars but no rattle cans. They do have Testors but it is not a big selection. That is my main problem, buying ALL the paint... starting from scratch you need the primer, color coat, sealer, and the touch up paints... so I only have primer today.... I'll go back and get some paints later. Haha.
I could order online too guess, I'd just like to use the local people first if I can.
Welcome back to the hobby, and welcome to the forum!
