Welcome, Josh!

"General Modeling" is always a good one because it gets a lot of traffic.

"Painting and Airbrushing" seems to as well.

Others are pretty dormant. You should train yourself to always read the date of the last post. A common mistake made by new members, no big deal but you'll get ribbed for it; is to repond to a post that's five or six years old with a conversational answer.

Check though is a good way to see how often certain sub forums get looked at.

Cheers, and thanks for the advice! I had started with a post in the building materials section but no hits as yet. It will happen Im sure.

And thank you to everyone for the warm welcome!

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Hi Josh! Welcome to the Forums. Glad to have you aboard.

There are a group of sub forums on this one if you just scroll down towards the bottom of the different sections. There are sections for Techniques, Painting and others. Just take your pick. I'm sure some of the other members will chime in too.

Any questions or problems, just ask.

Enjoy.

Hello from Brisbane

Hi all!

Im beginning to get back into modelling and thought a forum seemed a good idea. I havent built many kits in years, the last aircraft I built I was 14. Im now 34. Married, 4 kids, automotive spray painter.

I have a strong interest in WWII and this past year built a model railway for/ with my eldest son, which turned out quite well. This has re ignited my interest in modelling and Ive bought a few kits to build. In this case Id like to do a diorama based on Pearl Harbour so have purchased the later Airfix 1/43 P40 and a 1/43 Hasegawa Zero A6M2b.

A point in the right direction would be great. Which would be the appropriate sub forums to get some information on glues/ cements currently available on the market and fillers/ puttys? Im guessing things have changed a little in the last 20 years.

Cheers! Josh
