I'm a recently retired guy with an interest in aviation, especially WWII aircraft. Way back when I was a kid, I'd spend my time in the basement building model planes. This was a time wnen Revell and Monogram were considered state of the art. I vividly remember building a Monogram 1/48th Junkers JU-87 Stuka. I went nuts attempting a mottled desert camo with nothing but brushes. I was very proud of my finished model! Unfortunately, the Stuka never made it past a visit from my younger cousin just a week or so after putting it on display in the living room!
My interest waned in my teenage years with the discovery of the opposite sex (sound familiar, guys?).
Then I moved out to California back in the '80s. I ended up living near Chino and the Planes of Fame Air Museum and my interest in flying machines was rekindled. I ended up as a crew member on 2 different B-25s. This enabled me, as a photographer, to get some great air to air pictures. What a wonderful time that was! Well I've rambled on for quite a while. Just wanted to finish by saying that I've started in to the hobby again. I've gotten a couple of kits finished recently. I'm learning to airbrush and would like to pick up all the "tricks of the trade", so I'm sure to be back with questions every now and then.
Thanks for listening!
