Hello from Indiana
Posted by Comanche pilot on Saturday, December 21, 2019 10:12 PM

Hi, I’m Mike. Modeling since 1963. Exclusively aircraft. I still use some outdated methods, supplies and tools but am updating my efforts. For instance, I still use Testors tube glue, Testors enamels, Pactra enamels which are going bad, a Binks Wren and Badger single action siphon brush so old I don’t know the model. I have upgraded to an Anthem, Patriot and have a Sotar on order. My current stash is +/-300. On the bench: Grumman Panther, Mig-15, D4Y Judy.

Cool. Back in the good 'ol days, I used to fly over your local airport quite a bit on my way back and forth from So Bend to Muncie. Fond memories.

Again, welcome, and thanks for taking the time to reply to my inquiry.

Welcome Mike. Nothing that works well for you is outdated in my opinion. What ever tools, methods, and materials give you the most satisfaction are the right ones.

Welcome Mike! My grandfather was a partner in a Kokomo, IN Piper dealership. His favorite aircraft was the Piper Comanche. Welcome aboard! - Mike Johnson
