Hello from Malaysia
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, April 15, 2004 10:43 PM
Hello experienced modellers,

Greetings from Malaysia! I am quite new to this hobby and hope to improve my modelling skills as time goes by.

At the moment, I have attended "lessons" given by a local hobby shop. Basically, I have learnt how to use an airbrush and some basic weathering techniques. I have since built two 1/72" armours and working with my third model now. Hopefully, I can create a model that looks very much "alive". Nevertheless, I am happy with the results of my two armours.

Hopefully, in the near future, I can do WW2 planes as I am facinated by them too. But my "mentor" is telling me not to rush into this as it takes more skills to built a good plane model as compare to armour.

Glad to be in this community and any help and tips are very much welcome.Smile [:)]

Cheers.

Welcome to FSM. Just keep doing your models and you'll be fine. Other than your mentor, trying looking up reference books which will help you alot and don't be afraid to try new things. If you are looking for sand paper, try and get them from your local hardware shop which is less expensive.

Happy modelling.
