Hello from PA.
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, April 17, 2004 9:32 AM
Hi everyone,
I'm Bodeen and I'm a Plastiholic. I hail from the great Commonwealth of Taxsylvania. I live pretty close to "Pixburgh Stiller" land. I build anything that that has tracks and shoots....... mostly WWII era. I also like WWII 1/48 and 1/32 scale aircraft from any nation. I enjoy airbrush fumes, long walks through Aberdeen proving grounds, and sharing my sprue snippers with that special someone. My favorite colors are Dunkel Gelb, Oliv Gruen and Rot Braun. Seeking Serious like-minded modellers in the Kittanning, Butler, Indiana, Freeport, and Natrona Heights area to form a special relationship (known to outsiders as a model club..we know better).
Seriously, if there are any of you in the above-mentioned areas who would consider forming a club (since I really can't afford to drive 60 miles to the closest one around here) please let me know via this forum.
Thanks everyone!
Bodeen

Howdy, Bodeen!
Welcome to FSM.
Sorry, I'm in Osaka, Japan...a bit farther than even the 60 miles to your nearest club.
Good luck with your Quest for Club, though!

Welcome Bodeen! This is a great place! I just moved back to Austin from Philadelphia before the winter hit. Mother-in-Law lives in NE Philly . Unfortunately, I probably wasn't close enough to join your club. More than likely you'll meet some locals on here. Best of Luck, -SpencerBig Smile [:D]

Welcome Bodeen!!!! That's great that you are forming your own club out in PA. A lot of the forum members are doing the same in their own general area. Hopefully, you can get a hold of a member named Roadkill, who is kinda leading the charge in the effort to set up different regional "Chapters". Hope to see ya in the forums!!!

Thanks to all of you who have replied to my plea. You guys are really great. I belong to another "community" also, and they are really a nice bunch of people, too. Sometimes though, you just need to talk to a person face to face and see other people's work "up close and personal". Isn't it neat that there are so many of us from around the world who have the same intersts that we can share in such a forum? Thank you all again. If i don't reply right away....don't worry....I'm not on the computer every day! Auf Wiedersehen! Bodeen

Hello Bodeen and welcome to the forum. I'm in NJ near Trenton I know it's a little far but if you ever get out this way give me a shout and we'll try to get together and talk shop. Who knows maybe we could convince NASAFAN to join in too. He's not all that far from me.
Trevor Where am I going and why am I in this handbasket?
