Hi RB! Welcome to the Forums. Glad to have you aboard.

I've been building various types of models since 1946 (6 years old). Tried a couple of paper models with varying degrees of success. Looking forward to seeing your builds.

DRUMS01

Hello and welcome into the forum.

While not a paper/cardstock builder just yet, I can sure appreciate the skills and end results. I do like to add plenty of scratch built details to my builds so your focus on cardstock modeling will be very interesting.

Glad to have you here....

Thankyou sir!!!

I lived in Europe for 8 years (2007-2015). Yes, paper/cardstock models are very prevelant there. Back in 2009, is when I was introduced to professional paper/cardstock model templates. My first one being the Thunder Fighter from Buck Rogers. Four years later, I started beta test building for a few different designerd.

I have found that here are more SCI-FI related models available in paper/cardstock than all other mediums combined (and the majority are free for download).

I think that goes for pretty much every category!

Warships before WW2 used to be virtually non-existent in plastic...but scads of interesting designs were available from (mainly-European) paper model publishers, which was what got me started in the niche to begin with. But even there, there were some designs lacking...which got me started scratch-building. Paper/card is the perfect medium for that!

Welcome aboard!

Not many diehard paper modelers here (Pawel and Tankerbuilder being the ones that leap immediately to mind), though all are very welcome.

I do the occasional card model...chiefly pre-Dreadnought warships, merchant ships, and interesting buildings...though I confess plastic is my 'first love.'

Looking forward to seeing your work. Welcome Sign

Thank you sir!
I have been building paper/cardstock models for nearly 40 years now. I started out with scratch building (as my mum could not afford plastic models). Once a discovered professionally made paper/cardstock templates, I dove even further into the hobby. I have found that here are more SCI-FI related models available in paper/cardstock than all other mediums combined (and the majority are free for download).

Thank you sir! Once I am able to post photos, I will post a few photos of some of the models that I have already built as well as future build threads.

Greetings to all and to all HELLO!!!

I am an avid paper/cardstock model builder (and beta test builder). I specialize (mostly) in Science Fiction (mostly Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica). However, I have tried my hand at other genres as well.
