Fair dinkum, mate - HOWDIE???? Wink [;)]

Welcome Bob - there's an Aussie Modellers thread in the General Forum, you should call in and say G'day (or Howdie, even!). There's an Aussie Theme Group Build going on there and the PBY should fit right in!

Cheers! Andy.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] Aussie Bob!

Welcome back to the Hobby.

Interested in Cats ay? Did you know they are restoring a PBY in Perth and there's any Association looking into building a WWII Aero-Martime Museum. There's this cobber in my hometown who was a gunner on a RAAF Cat. He has several books and photo's regarding serials no., missions, and info about the scuttling of Cats around Australia. There's some good info resources around and interesting storys.

Hi everyone. My name is Bob Raymount and I live on the Gold Coast in sunny Australia. I started modelling about 30 years ago (planes), gave it up, started again about 20 years ago (military vehicles), gave it up and now find myself with the urge to take it up again at the ripe old age of 45!

Yesterday I purchased a 1/72 Academy PBY-5 Catalina. This will be my first kit for a long time. Currently researching variations for the PBY-5 - a number were operated out of Australia in the 40's - so I would like to model one along those lines.

Have never used an airbrush in my life so I guess that is something else I will have to learn.

No doubt you will be hearing a lot from me as I once again begin the endless nights of model building.

Regards to all,

Bob
