Thank you for letting me join.  I'm an old modeler, in years but not in experience.  I built many models as a kid, decades ago, but more as play than seriously. But now that I'm approaching retirement I am taking it up again.  I found this site cruising for information on my newest build, the Heller 1:100 HMS Victory.  I built the Revell USS Constitution 1:96 twice as a youngster, but neither were anything to brag about.  I want this one to be different.  Anyway, my casual dip into this pool was rewarding and I am happy to participate.  Thanks again, and I'm looking forward to engaging in these many discussions.

Welcome back to the hobby, Bob, and welcome to the forum!

I built a few of Revell's sailing ship kits, too, when I was a kid.  They weren't IPMS builds, to be sure, but I had a lot of fun building them, and that's the big thing.

I look forward to seeing your Victory build.

Best regards,

Brad

Hi Bob! Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you aboard.

Have built quite a few Sailing Ships, and many other types of models in my 76 years of building them. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The members here are very knowledgeable and ready to help with any questions/problems. I've learned a lot during my time with the Forums and am still learning.

Stay Safe.

Aloha to you as well, Bob.

Welcome to FSM, it's great to have you aboard, you'll open a whole new box of modeling fun here. I'm an airplane modeler, only built two ships/boats, the really old revell Constitution and the Revell sub, the Lionfish. I'd like to build another, I'll have to check the catalogues to see what's out there.

Whatever questions you might have about anything model related, you'll find PLENTY of expert modelers here that will be very glad to help you.
