Scale Aircraft Conversion make a set of white mettal gear - technically for the Zvezda -800 kit but I'd guess they could be adapted.

Hi and welcome to the Forums.

I can't help you with your question but if you go to the Aircraft sections in the forum the members there are very knowledgeable and I'm sure they can help you there.

Good luck.

Stay safe.

Hi all.  For years, I wanted to make in-flight/landing 747-400. (Qantas, of course.) I used the 10-years old Revell 1/144 kit, recently found LACI "Landing flaps" kit (3d-printed in resin) and have just fitted. A lot of fiddly work, minor mis-fits, and bad measurement detail, a bit of Tamiya putty was needed. But it really looks great once the primer spray is on.
Now - the undercarriage - does anyone know if anyone sells a set of 1/144 747 landing gear, in "hanging" position? Or a white-metal version amenable to bending?
The issues include -
(1) outboard/wing-mounted gear - hangs down at rear, the bogie is angled at about 45 degrees, till touchdown.  Possibly I could modify the Revell gear, but the prospect of using heat to do it is a bit scary.
The main body gear angle is a lot smaller, could probably just bend the bogie angle with a bit of heat.
(2) the un-loaded oleos would need to be extended by about half a tyre diameter to simulate the in-flight condition. Could be done - but the torque links / wishbones or whatever they are called, would have to be stretched too, looks too fragile on the Revell model for my liking.
Any advice appreciated!!  Thanks, PropwashWA (Australia).
