For the magazine's Reader Gallery we take slides, transparencies, or prints. Be careful about choosing the background; light gray or very light blue seem to work best. We have worked out trial guidelines for digital photos:
* The camera should have a 4 megapixel resolution; 3 megapixels is the minimum.
* Take the photos with your camera's highest resolution setting; higher is always better (most have 3 settings--low, standard, and high).
* The final image should measure about the size of a 3x5 print
* Send the photos on diskette or CD....if the file is large (as most high-res digitals are), there can be problems getting it to go through e-mail.
