As Darren26, I have been away from plastic modeling a long time (31 years). My early models where Lindberg and Aurora Kits 1/4 scale Super Sabre, Chance Vought Cutlass and others. Airfix 1/72 scale and the early seventies WW2 armour (German). Ceased modeling in 1972. Returned to it in 2003 with a 1/72 scale Mirage F1 that my daughter bought me. Now I have sixteen kits sitting behind me, three in process of being build. The bulk are Fw-190's 1/48 scale Tamiya and Dragon plus aftermarket stuff and many decals. My intentions is to concentrate on Eastern front a/c.
What I find is I'm spending more time on research and the goodies that are available for the modeler I have now a airbrush, correct paints. In the past mottling of German WW2 a/c I did by dry brushing with good effect and mixed my own paints. I pleased to see through the different forums that the use of wet & dry is in I swear by done so for years, do it right and there is little or weathering required.
Will see more of me in the future and Thank You for the opportunity Kurt.
