Howdy from Houston. I have been a scale flying model builder for 36 years, about 5 years ago I bought a 1/72 scale PT-109 and have been building model ships ever since. I build mostly torpedo / gun boats and merchant ships, I like the larger scales 1/350 is just a little too small for my tastes. My current completed fleet includes the 1/72 PT-109, a 1/72 Tamiya Vosper, 1/72 Tamiya PT-15, Revell Calypso, Lindberg North sea fishing boat, Lindberg USCG patrol boat, and a Revell S-100. I have a closet full of kits waiting to be built and I am currently building a Revell Flower class Corvette.
