I will never convert to Tamiya, even though Monogram was well before my time like Keyworth, I like the chalenges presented by the kits. Oh and I have built a couple Tamiya kits, but 90% of my collection is Monogram, just look at my profile.

Hi, Vintage Aircraft. Glad to have you here at FSM and the forums. I think you'll find a number of us in the Aircraft forum that like the challanges presented by the old Monogram and Revell kits and the like.

Here is the answer to your question about the B-17F being a meduim or a heavy bomber.

The B-17F was a heavy bomber, as were all of its subsaquent variants that came befor it and after it. Not counting the post WW2 variants.

Hey woody the line for the B-25H rides start in your check book, cuz it takes 250 buck to get a ride on her, a bit pricey but all profit goes to the bomber, sice we are a small club and all. But we do go to airshows around the country. I might finnally be able to go on one since im out for the summer.

Now if you want to see a pic of her go to Google.com and in Images type in B-25H Barbie 3, Several pics should come up of her. Oh did I mention she was the proptotype B-25H, and the only one still flying today. Smile [:)]

Welcome aboard, Vintage! Always nice to meet a kindred spirit. I've been building
Revell/Monogram kits all my life so I'm used to all their ideosyncracies & imperfections.
I'm currently building Revell's 1/72 Lancaster & I think I've got about 10 feet of puttied &
sanded seams on that thing. I don't mind too much, though--makes the finish product that much more special due to the hard work put into it. I've got a whole slew of 1/48 Monogram bomber kits in my stash, so I'm your man! Catch you later.
