Darren, welcome to the forum. loved your introduction. you definitly belong over here on the dark side as some of our colleagues refer to the armor forum. i've heard just about every story of what goes on in bathrooms. but yours is an original. leave it to an aussie. semper fi, mike

Welcome aboard Darren,

As Wayne said, check out the Aussie Modellers thread and the Aussie Group Build Thread. You have certainly came to a friendly and helpful site...I can certainly vouch for that.

All the best,

Bob

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] Darren to the FSM Forums. Its good to have another Aussie join us.

When you get a chance look up the Aussie Modellers thread in the General Modeling Discussion folder and say hi.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.

Hi,

I'm back to the hobbie after 19 year break. Was a keen modeller until I discovered cars girls and alcohol at 18. I got interested again after I saw the Abrams tanks roaming across the desert on my TV screen last year.

Main interest is AFVs. I'm especially interested in late WW2 vehicles from Normandy onwards.

I've just finished my first model - a Tamiya "frontline breakthrough" Sherman. Which I built while communting between Melbourne and Sydney for work. I was so desparate to finish it I masked off the bathroom in my hotel with newspapaer and sprayed it with Tamiya model paintsBig Smile [:D]. It doesn't look too bad as a starter.

At the moment I'm working on a Tiger 1 "late". It has Zimmerit which I wish I'd never added but have almost finished. Then there are about 19 other AFV kits that I just "had to have" - not to mention a lone Haseqawa P-38 Lightning that I was given as a present (my favourite aircraft) - waiting to be built.

At the moment I'm really just trying to build from the box (except for the Zimmerit!) while I re-acquaint myself with model building before I get more ambitious.

Cheers,

Darren
