Hi:
My name is Jim Fink, and I thought I would take the opportunity to introduce myself to this group.
I am very recently retired, and am re-entering modeling after a long absence. I have decided to do 1/48 scale WWII planes, wheels-up, only. I am doing this to please myself, and I like wheels up, 'cause planes should look like they are flying, and the build time is greatly shortened. In the end, I think I'd rather have a big collection, than small numbers of highly detailed machines.
The only problem I have with 1/48 is that their footprint is pretty large, especailly for 2 engine, and most definitely for 4 engine aircraft. I am working on finding a way to to wall-mount my builds.
If anyone has already solved this problem, I would love to hear from them.
