Welcome to FSM!
I caught the armor bug the same time and the same way you did.
I reckon there are plenty of folks who can say the same!

i 1st caught the armor bug when monogram [re]introduced their 1/32nd-1/35th kits in the 70's complete with sheperd paine's tips for building dioramas. i've seen some incredible changes over the last 30 years and i'm always amazed with what they'll come up with next. for some unknown reason, there's not a lot of interest in model building, so i have always had to go far afield to get what i want. the upside to that? finding that special kit is all the more sweeter. my advice to fellow armor freaks: pass your love of this fascinating along to others.
