Welcome to the forums. Good to see another plane nut in here! Enjoy yourself and don't be afraid to ask a question. The only stupid question is the one unasked.

Hello everyone!

tanner03 here! I've just beamed down to the planet's surface and have discovered FineScaleModeler on-line. I know you're asking yourselves, "where has this guy been". Well, to tell you the truth, I've been busy with far too many less important stuff. Actually, I did learn to fly the real thing while I was out there among other things. I've also spent a few bucks on a whole lota aviation books.

But now I'm back to what I've always enjoyed doing--scale model building or at least collecting at the moment. Specifically fixed-wing aircraft and mostly with round engines.

To illustrate how long I've been off planet, I think I still have Vol. 1, No.1 of FineScale Modeler I bought new as a kid in a box in the basement. Well, maybe not the first volume but close to it!

Anyway, I've consentrated on fixed-wing, American pre-WWII, experimental, and early jet aircraft. I've been bringing home a few of these since I noticed them getting scarcer and scarcer as time goes on. I have a few of my favorite warbirds in my hanger as well but not all.

Anyway again, this is my intro to the Forum. I've just started noodling around, trying to figure things out. I have so many questions that I'm sure most if not all of you can answer. Good to be part of this again.
