Greetings!

Just a note to introduce myself! Old modeler, just getting back into the hobby.
No particular favorite subjects...just whatever grabs my interest!
I must say that it breaks my heart when I see some of y'alls builds! I only dream of doing half as good!
Fortunately I have an understanding wife who allows me the un-interrupted time to TRY and build a kit! The only thing she might "comment" on is "When are you going to start building one and stop buying them!"
Hope someday to post a pic of a finished subject, till then I read the posts and learn the tips y'all offer!

Hi everyone,
I have been building models since 1954 when I bought my first HO boxcar kit at a hobby shop in Albany, NY. Since then I have been basically woking with railroad models in all scales and also building models, structures and dioramas, professionally for over 15 yearsand doing train shows around the country during that time. I have recently retired from all this and have returned, after 25 years , to building aircraft models in several scales with a love of WW1 aircraft.
I am glad to be a part of this group.

Thanks for the welcome!
And to Modelmaker1; I'm currently working on the Roden 1/48 Fokker DVII. Beautiful kit, very well detailed. I am having some fit problems but all in all it is a pretty kite!

Hello Kevin & Modelmaker, Welcome to the forum.

Kevin, I might have to pick your brain sometime as I use a little metal lathe and milling machine for some of my model scratchbuilding.
