Starting Over!
Posted by Enigma1 on Saturday, September 11, 2004 11:43 AM
I am returning to the modeling hobby. Purchased a Tamiya 1/350 scale Bismarck off of online auction, pretty amitious huh?!?[:0] The previous owner had started by painting the hull a wonderful gloss red and I think he had consumed many an adult beverage when he masked the thing offSad [:(]I have soaked the hull in DOT3 brake fluid on one of my wifes cookie sheets and after scrubbing it with a tooth brush (also my wife'sBlack Eye [B)]) I'm not seeing red anymore! I haven't built a model ship in over thirty years and was wondering if anybody has some tips for meQuestion [?]Airbrushing?Canned colors?Details?Photoetch?I have just joined this forum after reading through some of the subjects the members seem to be very helpfulSmile [:)]I hope I haven't bitten of more than I can chew!

Welcome to the asylum. While ambious for a return, it's a good build. Just take your time. I think if you go to the ship topic area you'll find the answer to most (if not all) of your questions on that model. There have been a lot of them in the past year or so.
