Hi im 13, and have been off and on with models since i was probably 7 or 8.I now am trying to get into more detailed models, like airbrushing, drybrushing, etc. I just started airbrushing and im practicing with it because i have a nice 1/48 scale P-38J Lightning and want it to be my best model so far(and detailed).If anyone has any good tips that would help a lot, thanks. Big Smile [:D]

Welcome to FSM flyboy11. It's great to see the younger generation striving to build higher detailed models. And I must say I like the thought that you want this one to be your best, so far. Keep living up to that and you will do great.

Hi Flyboy11..! Great to see you stopping by! If you can, try to show us some pics of your P-38. In order to get more youngsters in this hobby, all we need are good pics of good models built by other youngsters! Hope to read more from you soon.

Welcome, flyboy11. By all means, take your time and enjoy the hobby. You'll find a world of help here. Hope you enjoy the forums and I hope we'll get to see the finished product. One of my first kits when I was young was the Monogram P-38, so you're off to a good start! :) -Ed

Nice to see young people getting into a great hobby. Your choice of that P-38 is a great one ... take your time and enjoy. I hope you will send us some pictures during and after your project.
