New Guy Here

Just a 'Howdy" to everyone from TexasBig Smile [:D]

My interests include WW 2 and modern military aircraft and battleships.

I've been learning to model in 3d on the computer and would like any assistance in locating reference pictures of aircraft and decals to texture my models.

The programs I use are 3D Canvas and Corel Photo-Paint among others.

I've built almost every WW2 fighter and bomber I could get my hands on. My favorite scale for aircraft is 1/72 because I like to hang them from the ceiling and make formations of fighters and bombers.

I've built the USS Missouri, USS Arizona and several foreign battleships, but my first love is airplanes.

I guess that about covers it...

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I use a program called 3D Canvas to create my models. When I've got a couple of decent ones I like, I'll go ahead and post them for everyone to see. Right now, I'm working on a P-51D. It's about halfway done. When I finish it, I want to put it in the livery of the 318th Fighter Squadron, which was stationed in Libya, North Africa, during the 2d World War. Their primary mission was escorting the Liberators out of North Africa performing operations in Southern Europe.

Thanks for all the welcomes.. I appreciate it.

This is a screenshot of my current project. It's not finished yet. I just wanted to see how it looked against a background. That's the livery of the "Tuskeegee Airmen".
