I'm not new to the forum but have not yet introduced myself here.
My name is Steve and I'm a former US Army captain and now an Army Reserve captain. I live in Germany and work for the DoD on an Army training installation near Regensburg. I've been to Iraq and Kosovo and sometimes get the opportunity to conduct peacekeeping seminars in Eastern Europe, in fact I'm going to Kiev in December to do one. Because of my government work and Reserve duty, I have great exposure to all kinds of military vehicles, aircraft, and equipment, modern and the older stuff too. There are some great WWII museums throughout Europe that I plan to visit also.
I model mostly WWII aircraft and armor. I love that stuff, Axis and Allies, but have focused on European Theater. However, I just bought the Accurate Miniatures George H.W. Bush TBF-1C Avenger and will start that soon. This will mark my entry into Pacific Theater aircraft.
As I've indicated earlier, I've already participated on the forum in various subjects and have learned a lot. This a great resource and priveds an invaluable supplement to the FSM. Or is FSM a supplement to this forum? Either way they are both great resources in our endeavor to achieve fine scale accuracy.
