Hello all,
I've been building aircraft and SF for
waytoo many years. I have spent my whole career (25 years or so) in the airlines, first as a Customer Service Supervisor/Ramp Supervisor and now as a Customer Service Analyst/Technical Writer. I'm originally from the US Midwest, but now live in the far southeast part of WV and commute to my job at our airline's HDQ near Dulles International (IAD to you propheads like me!). THat takes a huge chunk out of my free time...I have noticed some interesting traffic in and out of IAD, too. The other day, I saw a R.A.F. VC-10 tanker take off right over me...
I have managed to get to Udvar-Hazy once already, and it's worth the trip, even if you aren't an airplane nut. [:0]
I don't have nearly enough time to build any more, but I at least manage to keep up with a few model mags like FSM.
(I'm a charter subscriber, so that should give you an idea of how old I am!) I prefer 1/72 military aircraft and Star Trek models, plus an odd foray into things like dinosaurs or airliners, now and then. I'm tackling the repairs on my bulit-ups from moving day damage, and maybe by the first of the year, I can resume working on new projects.
