Hola!

Hi all!

My name's Eric and I've recently become interested in a hobby I loved as a kid. It came about during the idle time I found myself during the last hurricane season...we had Frances and Jeanne pass directly overhead! I picked up a couple of tank models on a lark and found myself fascinated by how well model making dovetailed with my life long interest in history. I also found it to be a great stress reliever after pulling a 12 hour rotation in the ICU (I'm a respiratory student coming up on my final semester).

I love the WWII warbirds and armor and I can certainly see getting into building dioramas.

Also, I read about the modeling club in Afghanistan (or was it Iraq?) and I'm interested in sending our soldiers over there some kits. Can someone tell me where to send those and what would interest them? I'm thinking something along the lines of modern armored vehicles...possibly an Abrams, or Bradley FV kit. The address and any suggestions on kits would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric
