Hello to you all from the Netherlands
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 3:51 PM
Hello to all of you,
I like to introduce myself as a new member, signing in from the Netherlands..
I started modelling from my 15th until I was about 32, building 1/72 scale airplanes. Started again for about 2 years ago, I'm 42 years now., and got bitten by the bug again.
The most models I build are helicopters, the period from the 50' until now, in every scale. Next to this I'm a C130 fan, and have a big interest in firebombers. I'll hope to see these for real one day, we don't have them in Holland.
I also collect books and documentation about helicopters, the C130 and all about the firebombers.
I'm also a member of IPMS in Holland.
Look forward to get to know a lot of you on the forum, and share modelling knowledge and all what comes with it.
For now wish you all a wonderful christmas and a very good 2005.
Take care.
Squadraminiatura.

Welcome to the the FSM community.
The Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona has several different firebombers in its collection. Theoretically, there are pictures on its website http://www.pimaair.org/pasmhome.shtml
but I seem to be having trouble pulling it up today, maybe you will have better luck.b

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome, I will enjoy the forum.
Checked the site of Pima Air museum, and oh yeah Big Smile [:D], I must be going there one day, looks great.
HansV. a fellow Dutchman, Check the IPMS site at: www.ipms.nl , it's the Dutch chapter of the International Plastic Modellers Society, perhaps also of interest to you, they have niceThumbs Up [tup] regional evening meetings in your area as well. And yes, C130 is the Hercules, the plane I like in all its versions.
