Hiya! Welcome aboard. Seaplanes are not the easiest subjects, but if you are serious about them, you'll manage. Practice is just about all it takes! If I were you, I'd first try aircraft featuring a main hull such as the Catalina, or the Canadair fire-bombers. The other seaplanes, featuring a fuselage on top of a couple of flotation devices usually involve some bracing that can quickly become frustrating!

In any case good luck .

welcome aboard!! I don't know of any off the top of my head but I can check and post them to ya...

---edit---

found one that looks promising, a WWII Japanese Seaplane from Tamiya, an A6M2 Rufe Seaplane.... Tamiya kits have some nice detail to them, but don't be put off by it.. the fuselages fit together perfectly, sometimes needed no putty or filler at all! the hardest thing you'll probably have to do on this one is mask the canopy... Japanese canopies had a lot of wood on them.. but I would recommend something like that!

Good luck to you!

Hi,
From Canada And just started building models, trying my hand at aircraft. I am very interested in building Flying boats and Seaplanes. Any recommendations on easy builds (trying to work myself up). And websites etc.
Thanks.
