Mike, welcome!!!! Good luck with the airbrush, with a little practice you'll be amazed at what you can do with it... visit the airbrush section here and check out some of the posts... a LOT of good hints and advice given away there! (as well as how to properly use and clean your airbrush without messing it up!)

Your picture didn't come out, yahoo doesn't allow cross posting of pics.. if you wanna be able to post pics you can get a free account at photobucket.com and once you submit them the bottom line of code under the pic can be copied and pasted into your message and it will show up! (like thos badges at the bottom of this post) no muss, no fuss!

Great to have you here and good luck on that Abrams!

Old guy finding his "inner child"

Hello All
Im Mike from the frozen state of Ohio. I ve come back to modeling kinda through the back door. About a million years ago to the kids here (1960's to the folks that were there) my brother and I built tons of model cars and planes and yep even the old Monster models(Rat Fink, Wolfman etc.) Last year my 14 yo son and I began playing "Mech Warrior - Dark Age" from Wiz Kids (great game btw), the terrains consisted of flat card stock.....BOOOOORRRING. I began to build some 3D terrain to use in the games. ( Im going to try to post a link to some pictures of some of it...someone help me out on this one, not quite sure how to do that.) I was at the hobby shop - lookin for stuff I could use and found myself spending most of the time looking at the models. I bought Tamyias 1/35 th Abrams MA1A and have been workin on it on weekends. Im now to the point that I have most of the sub assemblies ready to paint. Wish me luck - cause Ive never used an airbrush - this is gonna be a learning experience!

Stay well and enjoy life
Mike

(hope I put the picture link in correctly)
