Hi, I'm another new guy from Canada
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 12:28 AM
I have been modeling for quite a number of years, Armour for the most part, but because of various pressures from work etc. I had to give it a rest (2 years
)
Anyway, I am ready to get back onto the saddle and have been reading the discussions regarding airbrushes. I do (did) have an Aztek, Model number? no idea! unless kit #50601 means anything (it's probably a dinasour) and I need a new one. Having read all the arguments for and against Aztek I am totally confused about which I should purchase, HELP!!!!!Confused [%-)]

Welcome to the forum, I don't have an airbrush but there is plenty here who do and are eager to give you their two cents worth for free.

Welcome to the FSM Forums Sign - Welcome [#welcome]. I use an Iwata HP-CR which I like a lot & is good value for the cost.

Welcome!

I used to have an Aztec dual action airbrush, its not without its drawbacks, but the type is certainly worth more respect than it gets.

Enjoy the forums

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] The only airbrush I have ever used is a Paasche H model and I seem to get good results (see below). Everyone is different though and personal styles and preferences make it hard to tell someone which is the best to buy. Good luck!

Welcome, glad to have you. Sorry I use a Badger Dual Action, and a single action for the case coats and clears.

Welcome to the forum,
I used to have a Badger AB (single action) but I just couldn't get it to work properly, about 3 years ago I bought an Aztek (don't remember the number either) and I'm still using it with pleasure.
Just ignore the manual when they say that you're not supposed to take the nozzle/needle a part to clean... I do it, and you would be surprised what comes out of it.
