Greetings. I'm in the Guard unit from your neck of the woods (C 1-185AR is in Apple Valley). Look out for them coming home in two or three days. Enjoy your time here.

Hey Broadshore - no worries, I'll not forsake Pegasus - but if I just need that one jar of paint, it'd be nice night to drive 50 miles to get it. I've even stooped so low as to go to our local Michales in hopes of finding some Testors paint that is "close enough". Give the quality of my work, close enough is usually good enough!

Desolate and Deserted!?! Hey, that's my home you're talking about! You're right of course, but the housing prices in civilzed areas compell some of us to live in the booneys. We are scheduled to get running water in the next few months, then electricity...paved roads will have to wait.

Uswin - I'll have to check out that place in Hesperia, but I don't have a lot of hope.

Victorville!?!
Talk about a blast from the past.
One of the most deserted and desolate looking airfields I have ever flown into. I beleive the base housing was all abandoned, and lots of empty-looking hangars too. Not to mention the boneyard of jetliners parked on the tarmac. I always thought the place seemed a little toooo quiet..............Alien [alien]

Hi Uswin
I figured I was the only one in the "modeling siberia" that is Victorville. Not a whole lot of hobby shops are there? I think there is a new one in Hesperia in, of all places, a bike shop. I haven't been there, but Santa bought my airbrush there. I make pilmagridges down the hill to Peagus Hobbies in Montclaire. Glad to know there are other desert rats out there.
