After many years off, I walked into an old hobby shop and was transcended back 35 years to images of my very first model, a Messerschmitt, 1/72 scale. That's all it took. Now I find every excuse to go visit all the hobby shops around the Ryukyu chain in search of interesting planes, warships and masted schooners, armour, figurines, Japanese sci-fi, steam trains, old sports convertibles, HINO/FUSA scale industrial trucks, etc. It's a blast. I've amassed over 200 models in a little over four months; and am waiting by the newstand for this months issue of FSM. Here and in Japan, many of the plastic model kits are not sealed in wrappers; some are tied close with string but rarely ever wrapped, so the shopper can take a look inside. Again, its a blast, I'm addicted. Sayonnara, swon
