Good evening to you all,

well the last time a constructed a plastic kit I was about 10 years old & I'm now 43!

So why the sudden interest? Well I've a passion for sea planes, flying boats, float planes and a recent flight in one of Chalks finest Mallard's (and a bit of persuation from Bryan Ribbans of Seawings website) has awakened a need to build something!

So I'll guarantee I'll be asking loads of totally stupid questions and would like to apologise for doing so in advance!

therefore a bit of initial direction's needed, starting with kit/equipment.

I have no equipment at all relating to modelling (apart from my job as a glamour photographer) so need to start from scratch, so recommendations would be most appreciated.

I'd like to concentrate on DHC products, inc the Beaver and Twin Otters on floats, so who do you recommend as an internet based supplier, what kits are available, is there a Dummy's Guide to Model Making I should buy?

So many questions, so little skill, such high expectations!

regards
