Hello all modelers in general and WW I & II guys in particular.

I joined about a week ago, and I am just learning my way around the website. This is really cool...seeing all the great work out there, and meeting the people. Just a short bit about me. I build mostly WW I & II birds, but on occasion I build armor, ships, or autos. I do my painting by hand as I do a lot of it while I am traveling for my job. I tend to favour Humbrol paints, but I am looking into using some acrylics. My beautiful wife encourages me in my hobby/obsession as it keeps me out of trouble when I am away from home, and it keeps me from playing Halo when I am home. I think like most modelers I have more kits waiting to be built than I have done. I collect the Aurora WW I fighters, they bring back a lot of good memories from when I was a kid, and there are so many great paint schemes for the German fighters!
My favorite plane is the Junkers Ju 87 B Stuka, yeah I know it's ugly, but it is so ugly it's good looking. My parakeet is named Stuka. I am currently working on two kits, a Ju 87 B by Astrokit, and the Curtiss Hawk II (Udet) by Classic Airframes.
Anyway, I am glad to be a part of the FSM online community and look forward to meeting ya'll. BTW I am getting my pilot's license - it is very inspiring up there!
A great lie - "I'm from the FAA and I'm here to help." Politics - Many blood sucking insects. Flying - Long periods of boredom puncuated by moments of stark terror.
