Hello Mlt1971, Welcome to the forum. If I'm not mistaken Ertl had a line of construction equipment. Seems like I saw a kit at Hobby Lobby some time ago.

AMT released some years ago. The kits offered were as follows; Caterpillar D8H Bulldozer (# T558, # 6670, & # T818)), Cement Mixer (# T559), Snow Plow (# T635), Link Belt Power Shovel (# T816), John Deere Backhoe Loader (# 3015) Under the Ertl brand of these kits have been released in the past along with a lot of farm equipment, all in 1/25 scale.
You might look on ebay for these old kits.Wink [;)]

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the Forum! Glad to have you around! There has been construction equipment recently re-released by Ertl. The D8H should be easy to find and the John Deere backhoe shouldn't be too hard either though it's been OOP for a few years. Also, on my recent trip to the LHS I saw a metal model kit of a CAT 365 or 385 excavator in 1/50 scale. The manufacturer escapes me right now because I didn't pay close enough attention but this stuff is out there. Try here modelexpress.net This link here takes you to the Caterpillar website gifts section where there are models available by NZG and Norscot. http://cat.com/cda/layout?m=37821&x=7

Thank you...The Model Express site was a little helpful. They had a few, mostly from the 70's. I was hoping to find newer equipment. All of the NZG and Norscot is diecast. You just put them together. There's not a lot of challenge in that. If I do happen to find what I'm looking for, I'll post it on here.Thank you for your help.

Welcome MLT1971. This site has many links to to what you may be looking for. You didn't mention what scale (most are 1/87th scale). Here's the site address> www.1-87vehicles.org/directory/directory.php
If you have a problem getting there, type in GOOGLE search: "Plastic modeling with heavy construction equipment." Other sites will also come up that maybe of some use to you. Good Luck.

mlt1971 There is a company named Kibri (German I think) who make excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, trucks with concrete girders, cranes etc. I made a few when I was into model railways. They were in 1/87th scale. Hope this helps
