Returning Modeler
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, March 21, 2005 1:36 AM
G'day from the Land Down Under

I am returning to the world of scale modelling after about a 25 year break. I have two sons, 11 and 10, who have become interested in modelling and have dragged dad along with them.

I am interested primarily in aircraft of WWII, and chiefly from the Battle of Britian era. I used to model in 1/72 scale but am thinking of changing to 1/48, any thoughts or suggestions would be a great help from the old hands on the forum Smile [:)]

Cheers

Welcome to the FSM Forums Sign - Welcome [#welcome]. A lot has changed in 25 years & 1/48 scale has become the more popular scale for most modelers. There are a great many excellent kits available for WWII aircraft & most aircraft from the BOB are well represented.

First off, WELCOME BACK...... now, second, good name stephen is..... okay so that was a bit low of me.... but seriously, welcome back to our humble hell to of which all things plastic go when they die! And one more thing.... I suggest, just from my expierences, that it's not all that bad building in both 1/72 and 1/48 scales! But I prefer 1/72, for it's price and compactability, and 1/48 for its supirior detail to 1/72! Again , welcome back!
