Welcome to the boards! I'm a Michigander also, and I actually live just a county over, and considering entering some stuff in the contest there (Kalamazoo). I too am mainly an aircraft guy, and concur with everyone else about putting something in the Auto Forum.

Welcome to the FS Forums David.
As for your missing pieces, if you contact the kit manufacturer they will surely replace the missing items for you. Manufacturers will replace the missing spures rather than the whole kit so you opening and starting the kit is no problem at all. These things do happen.
Hope this helps somehow.

Welcome to the Forum David Sign - Welcome [#welcome], from another Michigander. I'm pretty much an Aircraft modeler, but if you post your question on the Auto Forum you should get some good answers.

Greetings everybody. I'm David. I'm a recent college graduate with a degree in history. I've just moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan. I'm in an apartment right now, so I can't indulge my love for 1:1 scale hot rods, so I'm getting back into 1/25 scale model cars.

I bought a '57 Ford from the local hobby shop last night and I got a good start on it. I'm building it as an early sixties street racer. Unfortunately, I've hit a snag. Somebody forgot to pack the bias ply tires for the stock buildup in my kit. I didn't realize it until I already had parts painted and glued so I can't return it.

I got online today to figure out if I could get replacement tires from AMT but they no longer have a policy for that. So, anybody know of an aftermarket supplier for bias-ply tires? I'd like cast vinyl whitewalls if possible, but I'm getting desperate.

Thanks!
