Hi all. Marc here and I am new to the board. 49 living in NJ and have been a wing_nut all my life. Been a modeler on and off for about 35 years. In the very early 70s I was building WWII German with the occasional sortie into Allied fighters… I mean come on now, everyone has to have a P-51 and a Spitfire. Anyway, life took over for awhile, you know, college, job, wife, kids… and I took a long, too long, break from building. Early 80s was into RC and that was real fun except for the 1 or 2 months of building then 2 minutes of flying, getting your signal zapped and down she goes… back into kit form. In ‘86 I started building again, 1/48 modern jet fighters for a couple of years… (Do you think I was influenced by “Top Gun”…hmmm???).

Well after what will hopefully be my last “break” from the hobby… I’M BACK. And I am really enjoying the calming affect of squinting…remember… 49 years old… at photo etched rudder pedals for a 1/48 109 trying to get the straps just right.

I have been going over the forum and have found it hugely helpful with new tips and jogging my memory when reading a technique and saying to myself, “Oh yeah… I used to be able to do that.” I look forward to being a contributor to the board and will some post some photos of my 1st model in 9 years and the 1st WWII German plane in 35 years.

WOW I feel so old all of a sudden. ;o)
