Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the fold Rob. I'm not much of a ship modeler but I would love to see some pics of your completed work, especially the convoy.

Cheers
Darren

Welcome to the Forums Sign - Welcome [#welcome]. I'm mostly an Aircraft modeler, but I'm sure you'll find some Ship builders.

Regards, Rick

hi guys. I am Rob Adams
I model in 1/1200 scale using balsa wood, plastic card and brass rods.
I completed the "Battle of the Philippine Sea" june 1944, involving 278 Japanese and American ships.
I just recently completed completed a North Atlantic convoy hx229 consisting of 40 Merchantmen, 16 Escorts and 39 U-boats.
Then I did the Graff Spee and the 3 heavy cruisers involved in chasing her into Monte video. I have also completed the first attack on the Bizmarck involving the sinking of HMS Hood. Now I am doing the final phase of the attack on Bizmarck, involving 8 British ships. MY goal is to do the Norwegian Campaign, then move onto the Mediterranean. I am curious to find out if anyone else is doing something like this, as I have not found anyone in South Africa.
