Wingnut North of the 49th!

Howdy, folks!

I've been a regular visitor and contributor to this forum since shortly before Christmas. I think this forum thing is just great!

I've been meaning to put some sort of introductory piece about myself here for a while, but I get so busy with other things, and keeping up on my "I want something else, how about you?" thread in the "General Modeling Discussion" section, that I just haven't gotten to it until now.

I'm mainly an aviation modeler with a growing intrest in more obscure aviation subject matter.

By my training, I'm a graphic artist and illustrator as well as an English as a Second Language Teacher. I've got a few modeling projects still on the go, but when they're done, I'll be taking somewhat of a hiatus from the hobby to pursue English teaching work overseas. I can't ever see myself totally leaving the hobby, but my building will be quite sporadic if not totally on hold for the next few years at least. This forum will be great to keep me "in the loop" as far as the hobby goes.

I've "met" a lot of interesting fellow modelers here with a lot of great things to say, and advice to give on many aspects of the hobby, and I hope to "meet" many more here too
