Thanks to all for the warm welcome!

MartinJK:

I moved from Vancouver to Kelowna five years ago. What part of Van do you live?

evil boe:

Chilliwack is a nice town, my aunt lives there. How's the gas prices, still the cheapest in BC?

So long folks!

Name's Bill, I'm in Kelowna BC in the Sunny Okanagan. I used to build models when I was a kid (35 yrs ago, gulp), dabbled with it again in my mid 20's when I got excited about motorcycles, then wife, life and kids interrupted that until my now 10 yr old piped up that he wanted to build WWII planes. My older son joined in.

Our current projects:

1/24 scale Cars
68 Firebird 400 (done)
71 Plymouth GTX (10% completed)
69 Barracuda Fastback (10% completed)
55 Belair Convertible (Indy Pace Car version) (done except for the last few decals)

1/48 scale aircraft
P-51D Mustang (95% done, need flat coat)
P-40B Tiger Shark (done)
Spitfire MKII (assembled and ready for painting)
P-38 Lightning (50% there)
F-15C Strike Eagle (our one modern aircraft) (5% just started)
BF-109E (5%)

1/32 scale aircraft
Hawker Hurricane II (done)

All done with rattle cans and brush. Guess I better buy an airbrush soon, eh? :)

Nice to see a bunch of fellow Canucks, you guys all start because of the hockey strike? :P

Welcome Bigrigg. Thanks for joining.
Looks like we are not too far off from one another.

hey all, i've been browsing the site a few times and figured it was time to introduce myself. i'm still a relative newbie when it comes to models (i don't even have an airbrush yet Shy [8)]) but am still progressing slowly. i build mainly aircraft with a few armour and modern automobiles thrown in the mix. my current projects are a revell P-51D and a revell/monogram F-105D.
