Well thanks for the warm welcome. I will have to see how we can send the pictures of the 57 I am currently working on and future kits. And I truly understand the reason's for the love of kits. Most of the topics mentioned are a lot of trouble or work. With a kit you do it at your pace. LOL. And yes I do agree that my wife is great for buying me an airbrush for my modeling. I will put her to the test when I tell her I need a compressor to run it. Anyway thanks for the welcome and we will talk more I am sure. This seems like a great group. I hope to see of your works as well in the future. Be safe.

Hi Tirespin and welcome to the forum. i look forward to reading your posts you just beat me into the hobby my first kit was when i was five years old (1970) and as you can tell i am a child of the sixties i would like to see a pic of that 57 chevy when its done. i am working on a 1957 Landrover at the moment but this one is 1/1 scale and weighs nearly two tons LoL the only car kits i have on the go are a jaguar xjs and several Landrovers plus quite a few aircraft....Greg Big Smile [:D]

Good Day everybody,

I have enjoyed building since the 60's (late 60's) probably before most of you were born. I like to build 1/24th scale cars and trucks but have also tried a space shuttle, various aircraft and a few ships. If you love it you love it all. I have just recently gotten back into the builing scene and I am having a blast. A lot of changes have taken place over the years but the most noted is the availability of kits and parts. My wife welcomed me back into modeling buy buying me an airbrush. I am dying to use it on the 1957 Chevy Stepside I am currently working on. I will let you know how it turns out. Just thought I would say hi from the frozen northland. Stay alert and don't glue your fingers together.
