Ed, you're going to fit in real well here. Been a long time since my testicles were shorn! Ah, those were the days. Living in that tiny houseboat on the Left Bank. Then the razor became dull and the joyous days (and more joyous nights) came to an end. *sigh* Yes, those were indeed the days!

So long folks!

Hey EdSign - Welcome [#welcome], Love your sense of humor, Had me going there for a sec. LOL. Man, you have building a long time dude! I also like ships, heck, I like 'em all. Have also seen lots of old pix of the free flight stuff back in the days, ya'll really had it going! I am just fifty yrs. old, but remember the old books of kids flying free flight planes and all the old "boy and plane adventures". When I was a kid the old 30's and 40's adventure books were still available and popular. "Hey, the other night I snuck into my neighbor's house and put contact lens with little cats painted on them on his dogs eyes, his dog went crazy!! Next night I snuck in and took one lens out...dog just runs in circles!!"Wink [;)]

Well, be good & have Fun,
Bill

The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I
begin?

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium
with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a
fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father
would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he
invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being
lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the
insane lament.

My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring
we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and
beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received
my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma
ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn
scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.Wink [;)]

Nah, just kidding guys. I'm really a 74 year old retired LCDR USNR an Captain TWA/AA retired.

I ended up with FAA Airman Certificate 1361669, COMM SMEL INST ATP B-707,
720, 727, 747, 757, 767, and L-1011. Retired TWA L-1011 Capt. in 1987 after
30 years.

Accumulated around 20,000 hours in 7 logbooks over 34 years. No accidents or
incidents, no damage except a blown tire in a B-727 at CLE..

I'm a free flight modeler, mostly scale, since circa 1939. Still building a lot of stuff, but I have a hard time chasing the darn things, so I generally avoid models that really fly well. Besides, not much flying space around here., the Jersey Shore.

I am considering ship/boat models too. I am a graduate of USMMA Kings Point NY, so I'm an old salt as well.

This looks like a fine forum to me, even if I just lurk for a while.
